Water Recycling System
Introduction
Brendeck Ltd has 21 years experience in the manufacturing of wash water recycling systems for use in with all leading vehicle wash plant. Water recycling systems are enjoying an expanding market at present due to the savings they can offer in the present climate of water privatisation, stricter effluent discharge consents and rising effluent charges.

The drought in 1989 brought many wash operators to a stand still due to the water authority's ban in the use of water for the washing of vehicles. However washes using Brendeck's 95% reclaim GHD and HC wash water recycling units were still operating at a handsome profit under the approval of the water authorities.

What is a Reclaim Unit?

A Reclaim Unit will remove wash water contaminants. These include

* Waxes
* Particle Dirt
* Detergents
* Hydrocarbons

The Reclaim Unit will remove these contaminants by means of using some or all of the following:

* Filtration
* Wax Removal
* Sedimentation
* Centrifugal Separation
* Reverse Osmosis

Which system?
Series HC - “FULL' reclaim system –(right)

Water used during the washing and rinsing cycle collects in the below ground interceptor.

Water is drawn from the third chamber of the interceptor and passed to the hydro- cyclones, which separate particles larger than 15 microns and rejects them with a small quantity of water back to the interceptor.
The water in the above ground unit is then passed through the activated carbon filter, which removes the detergent. The water is then drawn from the last tank by the wash pump.
